PHOTO GALLERYA single teaser image has just been released of Chevrolets FNR-X concept, set to debut at the Shanghai Auto Show later this month. At the Shanghai show two years ago, the carmaker unveiled the bold and wildly futuristic FNR autonomous EV concept and based on information currently available, it appears as though the FNR-X will be a development of that concept and potentially, a step closer to the production line. The teaser shows that unlike the FNR concept, the new FNR-X doesnt feature a front-end bathed in glass and instead adopts a more conservative design that wouldnt look out of place on the streets of today. Among the key design details are LED headlights and daytime running lights, a gaping-wide front grille and a bonnet with menacing creases. In typical concept car style, traditional wing mirrors have been replaced by a pair of small cameras.Current word in Chinese media indicates that the FNR-X will premiere the companys latest and greatest autonomous driving system Stay tuned for more details about the vehicle in the lead-up to the Shanghai Auto Show opening its doors.

Chevrolet FNR-X Concept Teased
Called the Chevrolet FNR-X concept, the name takes inspiration from Chevrolets earlier concept vehicle, simply titled FNR, which is pictured below. Chevrolet FNR-X Concept Changes Its Performance Based On Your Mood
Like the FNR Concept, it will feature autonomous driving capabilities and will tailor its performance according to the drivers mood. The side mirrors have also also replaced with cameras, which seems to be an obligatory requirement for concept cars. According to CarNewsChina , the production version will be made in China by Shanghai-GM and will be positioned between the Captiva and the Equinox. So, if the sensors detect that youre in a bad mood, the car will try to cheer you up by switching to a sports chassis and engine modes. From the front, the FNR-X (FNR standing for "Find New Roads) looks unmistakably lik e a Camaro, but it will apparently take the form of a plug-in hybrid SUV with all-wheel drive.
